Finding Dawn, a documentary about the murders and disappearances of over 500 Aboriginal women in Canada over the last thirty plus years.

A taped interview with Louise Erdrich and Bill Moyers will be followed by a presentation by Matthew Fletcher on how tribal law intersects and/or conflicts with non-tribal laws. Matthew is a Professor of Law and Director of the Indigenous Law and Policy Center at Michigan State University.  A self-guided tour through the Native Treaties- Shared Rights exhibit in the Olson Library will be available.

A panel discussion titled: Women, Violence and Revenge. The focus of the panel is to educate about issues concerning tribal vs non-tribal jurisdiction and the Violence Against Women Act. The gallery, featuring the Native American diorama, will be open free to the public at this special event.
