Welcome! It is my pleasure as Michigan Reading Association’s newest president to welcome you to the2011-2012 school year. MRA is a dynamic and diverse organization dedicated to the mission of promoting literacy. Daily, educators across our state strive to meet the literacy needs of their students. In order to support all of you, MRA provides on-going professional development at all levels through professional journals, publications, and excellent conferences.

As 21st century literacy leaders, we have strengthened our support networks through the use of Facebook, Twitter and our website. These are great ways to communicate with other MRA members and to follow our exciting events!
